The thirteenth festival KAUNAS PHOTO 2016 will take place in three stages:
- May - June - foreign artists in residence in Kaunas, educational programs, call for artists to work on;
- May - October - Outdoor exhibitions in public spaces of Kaunas
- August - October - The main program of the festival with museums / gallery exhibitions, portfolio reviews, projections, events, meetings with artists and others.
2016 Festival, the summer - autumn (Aug 16 to Sep 30 2016)
MK Čiurlionis Art Museum, M.Žilinskas Art Gallery will open a major exhibition of the festival "street value". Exhibition curated content will be presenting 30 - 40 photographs of works series, revealing the best and summarizing public space theme. The exhibition will consist of only the most significant, the most pressing issues addressed with emphasis on contemporary photography.
